Our office serves Mooresville, Lake Norman, Iredell County and the surrounding counties such as Mecklenburg, Rowan, Cabarrus, Lincoln, Catawba and Davie counties. Mooresville is centrally located to all of these areas. The firm is located at 236 Raceway Drive, Lakeside Business Park, Suite 7.
Our attorneys provide myriad legal services with an experienced staff that uses the latest available technology. The office has six staff members solely devoted to commercial and residential real estate transactions. The office also has a strong emphasis on all kinds of litigation-from civil to personal injury to criminal to domestic. The firm has been in Mooresville since 1962.
The firm is engaged in the general practice of law in all State and Federal courts. T.C. Homesley Jr. and Walter H. Jones, Jr. were previously associated with the firm of Collier, Harris & Homesley, a firm that dates back to 1919. The following attorneys practice in this office:
T.C. Homesley, Jr. is a native of Gaston County, receiving a B.S. degree in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina in 1956. He received his LL.B. degree from the UNC School of Law in 1958. He has practiced law in Iredell County since August of 1962, first as resident attorney for Collier, Harris & Collier in Mooresville. Mr. Homesley served over three years in the U.S. Army and was discharged in 1962 as Captain.
Walter H. Jones, Jr. is a native of Rocky Mount and received his B.A. degree in English from the University of North Carolina in 1963. He received his LL.B. degree from Wake Forest University School of Law in 1966. He then entered the U.S. Army as Captain in the Judge Advocate General Corps. He served in Vietnam and received the Bronze Star and the Army Commendation Medal Award. He began the practice of law in Mooresville in April of 1970 with the firm of Collier, Harris & Homesley and became a partner in 1973.
Mark L. Childers is a native of Mooresville and received his B.A. degree in English from the University of North Carolina - Charlotte in 1986. He received his J.D. degree from the Wake Forest University School of Law in 1990. Mr. Childers has practiced law in the Mooresville area since 1990 and was a partner for thirteen years with Thomas, Godley & Childers, P.A., before and joining the firm as a partner in May 2006.
Elise B. McLurkin Horton is a native of South Carolina and received her B.S. degree in Business Administration from Erskine College in 1992. She received her J.D. degree from the Campbell University School of Law in 1997. Mrs. Horton joined the firm and began the practice of law in 1997. Mrs. Horton is licensed to practice law in both North Carolina and South Carolina. Mrs. Horton is a partner in the firm.
Kevin C. Donaldson is a native of Troutman and received his B.A. degree in Psychology from Erskine College in 1996. He received his J.D. degree from the Campbell University School of Law in 1999. Mr. Donaldson joined the firm and began the practice of law in 1999. Mr. Donaldson is a partner in the firm.
J. Patrick Stutts is a native of Mooresville and received his B.A. degree in International Studies, with minors in English and Spanish, from Virginia Military Institute in 1999. He received his J.D. degree from the Campbell University School of Law in 2003. Mr. Stutts joined the firm in 2004. Mr. Stutts is an associate of the firm.
